Casa Liñeiras is just a few kilometres from A Pontenova in Lugo, and offers two luxury cottages which have been lovingly created within a restored eighteenth century farmhouse to each provide a heavenly holiday home packed with traditional character, and modern comforts. Each cottage is over two floors, connected by bespoke chestnut staircases, with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms with walk in showers, craftsman made beds, and a full kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster and kettle plus all the pots, pans, cutlery and crockery that you will need.
Each apartment also has an LG Smart TV, DVD/BluRay player and wifi internet connection via a 4G hub (20mbps download, 0.5mbps upload). We have a small DVD collection should you want something to watch.
While the cottages have central heating through underfloor and radiators and there is also a wood burning fire for those cozy nights in. Both cottages have keyed access to a laundry room with washing machine and a tumble dryer.
Outside is a terrace with spectacular views, ample seating and a table for al fresco eating and drinking with a large umbrella to shade you from the sun.
The cottages are designated as a Casa de Aldea de Turismo Rural by the Xunta de Galicia.
There are some amenities in A Pontenova (5km) with three small supermarkets, three restaurants and various bars and cafes. Lugo is just forty-five minutes away with its Roman walls, restaurants busy nightlife and large supermarkets, while the breathtaking Galician coastline is a thirty-five minute drive to Ribadeo. We are also within easy driving distance of Taramundi, Meira, Vegadeo and Los Oscos or further afield the tourist hotspots of Santiago de Compostela, Oviedo, Gijon and A Coruña.
There are many activities locally including; walking, cycle hire, zip wire, fishing, kayaking, off-roading, mine tour, swimming or just relaxing and taking in the views and clean air.
We do have a couple of friendly cats, Wilson and Tinkerbell, who may sometimes try to come to visit your cottage, and most days we are visited by a very friendly dog called Gordi who belongs to some of our neighbours.
Unfortunately the property is unsuitable for children under 15 years old and we would ask you not to book with us if under 15´s are in your party.
